Becketts Kopf

Berlin, Germany

Becketts Kopf is named after Irish playwright Samuel Beckett, and given that 'Kopf' translates as 'head' it goes some way to explaining the rather intimidating monochrome portrait of the man that looks down to survey the evening's drinkers. The menus are printed on old paperback copies of Beckett's works too, but don't go thinking this place takes itself seriously: the spirit of Irish hospitality is alive and well here in Berlin. Run by a husband and wife team, the drinks menu here is made up of just 15 drinks, but if you're feeling indecisive then these expert bartenders are always happy to choose for you.
