If you imagined the archetypal dark and sexy Berlin bar, odds are it looks a bit like Becketts Kopf. Named after the Irish novelist and playwright Samuel Beckett, the space is all velvet curtains, leather sofas and low lighting. The cocktail list is a romantic blast from the past, drawing on recipes dating back to the 19th century but using thoroughly modern craft spirits, fresh juices and even herbs grown on-site. Do note that in another retro move, the establishment is strictly cash only.
