Third-generation family-run Parizzi’s growing popularity might have necessitated an end to the free souvenir plates the restaurant – a former delicatessen – used to distribute, but there are still plenty of good reasons to visit this classical fine-diner. A spacious dining room houses eight elegantly dressed tables, with a playful world map made from pieces of toast taking pride of place. Menus – six-course meat or seafood options and a smaller chef’s surprise menu, plus à la carte – offer typical Emilia-Romagna flavours in innovative guises: think turbot ravioli in gazpacho and foie gras with pumpkin ice cream.
