Housed in a rustic farmhouse in the hamlet of Vicomero about 10km north of Parma, Romani is the place to visit for wholesome versions of the area’s traditional dishes. A family business since 1991, under chef Fabio Romani the restaurant now serves some innovative options alongside the classics, which include (when in-season) pumpkin-stuffed fresh pasta, oven-roasted veal, local cheeses and antipasti. Local produce is key and portions are sizeable. After a meal, walk off the calories in the charming gardens.
