The Wolseley

London, UK

All-day café-restaurant The Wolseley is housed in what was known, in its banking days, as ‘Piccadilly’s Shining Pearl’. The iconic building, acquired in 2003 by restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, features marble-clad Viennese-style interiors with nods towards classic British heritage. Breakfasts boast the likes of the beloved omelette Arnold Bennett, afternoon teas feature an array of dainty morsels, including note-perfect Cannelés de Bordeaux cakes, and head chef David Stevens sends out a mean calf’s liver and bacon for supper. On-site boutiques, meanwhile, take care of everything from wedding gifts to food hampers and champagne.
