The iconic building, acquired in 2003 by restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, has the aura of a grand European brasserie – all soaring arched ceilings, dramatic chandeliers and black-and-white geometric marble floors, with a few subtle nods towards its British heritage and storied past. Breakfasts boast the likes of the beloved omelette Arnold Bennett (luxurious with smoked haddock, cream and butter), afternoon teas feature an array of dainty morsels (including note-perfect Cannelés de Bordeaux), and the chefs are famed for sending out a mean plate of calf's liver and bacon for supper.
