Bacchanalia
Atlanta, US
Bacchanalia enjoyed star billing on the Atlanta food scene long before the action-packed crime drama Baby Driver – 'the finest wining and dining of all the wines and dines in town' – put it on the big screen. Opened in 1993 by chef-owners Anne Quatrano and her husband Clifford Harrison, this is a place that people still dress up for, where handbags get their own stool and where a crab fritter starter from the four-course prix fixe menu (also available at the bar) is legendary. It's always seasonal, relying entirely on organic ingredients, many sourced from Anne and Clifford's 60-acre farm in Cartersville, Georgia. In the high-ceilinged post-industrial dining room, complete with macramé area dividers, start with cocktails, end with a peach and lemon verbena souffle - and enjoy the ride in between.
