Alsace-born chef Gabriel Kreuther uses the cuisine of his home region to inspire the menu at his elegant eponymous restaurant located in Midtown Manhattan. There are several options for diners: a three- or four-course meal, or the chef’s tasting menu featuring iconic dishes with the option of classic or premium wine tastings. A lunch prix fixe or tasting menu are also available with wine pairings. No detail is overlooked here, including the handsome handmade ceramics used to plate terrines, foie gras, tarts and entrées. The flawless food is matched by the impeccable surroundings: the dining room features arched wooden beams that were inspired by the timber homes of Alsace, while an artistic chandelier of 42 crystal storks works as a stunning centrepiece for the room. Seats at the bar are reserved for walk-ins only, but reservations can be made in the lounge or main dining room.
