Sushi Sho NYC
New York, US
The original Sushi Sho in Tokyo’s Yotsuya district is one of the country’s most legendary tables, created by chef Keiji Nakazawa, who honed his craft at 20 different restaurants around Japan from age 15. Nakazawa’s stable now includes many other restaurant brands and branches but with a faultless dedication to quality, this Sushi Sho outpost, which opened in New York in 2024, is the perfect destination for refined diners. And, for the omakase-weary, a special Okonomi menu lets the guest take charge – a rarity in high-end sushi-ya – allowing them to select favourite ingredients for chefs to customise, and serve alongside a more compact traditional omakase menu. In other words, if you really want extra helpings of that fatty tuna nigiri or an extra ebi, it’s yours.
