Founded by three Filipina American women, Genever is a bar designed to put you at ease. Tucked away in LA’s Filipinotown, it’s only ever had one goal in mind: to pay homage to its past and surroundings. Oh, and to create a gin-lovers paradise while they’re at it. Proudly standing as a North American bar managed and owned entirely by women, every element within its bar room – including the handcrafted artwork that cover its walls – have been selected to create a safe space. Resultantly, Genever takes put the comfort of its diners at the top of its priority list alongside its cocktail creation. Guests are invited to relax in its warmly illuminated gilded interior, drink in hand. Cocktails like the Ginto – gin, amaro, citrus, and turmeric-ginger shrub – are to be savoured slowly.
