Anne-Sophie Pic’s destiny for the pass was written in the stars: both her father and grandfather were award-winning chefs. With an empire stretching across Europe, this is her first UK venture. Housed in the grand Four Seasons Hotel at Ten Trinity Square, Pic’s tradition-defying cooking style is a winning melange of French technique, British ingredients and Asian accents. Case in point is Cornish turbot meunière, which plays bedfellow to matcha gnocchi and a watercress, ginger and bergamot consommé. Plates are emblematically elegant. A good-value lunch menu and sensational Tahitian vanilla mille-feuille draws a crowd.
